Our first stop on our little wander across France and Belgium this weekend…after waking up the small village of sleeping Romanians parked in front of the place we thought we’d better make ourselves scarce!

After a lovely walk in the sunshine we found our entry point! Easy this Urbex lark !

After 20 minutes of acting like a bunch of newbies ….first rule of urbex…always check to see if the bloody enormous door staring you in the face is open..we climbed rather unceremoniously in through a small window !

…. An afternoon spent down a deep dark WW2 Deep Shelter in the company of some fun, creative people.. Always a laugh trying to get into this one if you have not done it before, it does require a little contortionism  But once below ground some 40 metres it’s eerily dark and so very very quiet! Lots of messing about with various light emitting devices and a lot of laughing, ending the day with a lot of fire and flash ! Emerged from the deep dark hole into brilliant blue skies and a fabulous sunset driving home…
